Hezhou, Guangxi, China, August 20, 2024 — Guangxi's Hezhou City has emerged as a leading player in the calcium carbonate industry, with a comprehensive and sustainable production chain that spans from mining to end-product manufacturing. The city's recent achievements were highlighted during the 2024 Hezhou International Stone and Calcium Carbonate Production-Sales Matchmaking and Investment Promotion Conference.
"With abundant marble reserves and a robust industrial base, Hezhou is well-positioned to drive the development of high-end calcium carbonate products," said Mayor Peng Daiyuan. "Our goal is to create a circular economy that maximizes resource utilization and minimizes waste."
Hezhou's calcium carbonate industry chain encompasses mining, natural stone processing, calcium carbonate powder production, artificial stone manufacturing, composite materials, and waste recycling. The city boasts over 590 enterprises engaged in this sector, producing over 21 million tons of heavy calcium carbonate powder and 70 million square meters of artificial stone annually.
During the conference, 20 major investment projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB 20.28 billion. The event also featured several forums and workshops, including discussions on technical innovations, market trends, and sustainable development strategies.
